Katie Cooke's talk on Balacing Act
The uber talented Katie Cooke gave a talk on her work processes and her deeply personal journey in creating her series of spell binding photographs "Balancing Act" on 3rd of July. Some of the visitors were also professional photographers and a discussion over technology verses pin-hole technique ensued. We all wish Katie the best of luck with her finally being recognized for her beautiful work in her homeland of Scotland.

Balancing Act by Katie Cooke
Katie Cooke's exhibition Balancing Act had a great buzz about it on Saturday at the opening of the show. Katie gave a talk about her photographic processes, homemade pin-hole cameras and the very personal inspiration behind the works. She talked candidly about her two hip operations and the re-learning to walk and stand she had to endure, which resulted in the work she created for the show.
Her "spellbinding" images were a delight to view echoed by the comments of the public and press alike.
Katie Cooke's Balancing Act has a fantastic review in today's Scotsman Newspaper(7/7/10)
